1.
I'm not going drinking with you Cause I'll only regret it later It only just opens us up And then we touch But the next day, you say that was a mistake And your mind aches I'm not going drinking with you Cause I'll only regret it later Do you remember all those times? When we crossed that line? And once more, you always know what to say In all the right ways I'm not going drinking with you Cause we'll only regret it later
2.
Scheherazade on the autobahn with a Mellotron Revolution, it just takes so long in the modern world But you know, all the world is ever turning I am no longer human Kafkaesque and rock 'n' roll on the telephone No capitals, no beaches, no working class or congress Metropolis, what a pity Let's go build a brand new city Revolution, it just takes so long in the modern world
3.
When we're doing our duty to the party You push me off and read a book When we're getting ready in the morning Your coffee don't hit like it should But darling, it's a menagerie How many thoughts you think of me It's all negativity So why don't you marry me? The forbidden fruit that's tasteless There's no exit in hell, Estelle And when I think of all the time I've wasted Ivan's chuckling in his grave It doesn't take a jury to see In the trial of the century That you're not coming back to me So why don't you marry me?
4.
I've gotta do whatever I can to clear my name And I'll do just what it takes I didn't do it, I didn't do it, I didn't do it I swear When you've consumed art and television There's a point in which you're willing to give up almost everything Just to reach that close-up And now I'm paying the price All I wanted was to act, I'll never go back I have lived a life free from sin When I was a kid, I didn't drink the wine I would never hurt a fly I'm not that kind of guy
5.
Here I am pondering life in the middle of I-95 They say fear eats the soul, but what if you're trying to drive? All I see are white lines in the darkness of the highway Anxiety's an aphrodisiac on this shaky bridge underway All I want is a loving home In someone's arms I want to roam When I look back on what I've seen It doesn't seem like a peaceful dream A dream, a dream I'm too young to die And I don't wanna be alone Desperation is a brand new suit With all the broken seams So here I am driving around For the girl of my dreams With company, I always roll the dice By myself, I just make a scene A good foundation is hard to find I always end up losing my mind Falling for those who can't commit All my eggs in a basket A dream, a dream

about

Taken from a quote from George Orwell's 1984, it should be your duty to whichever party you align with to listen to this new extended play by Shadow J. Brown. Although there are just five songs and one instrumental, these songs will give you the answers you've been looking for about love, politics, religion, death, and urban development.

This EP is dedicated to Prince George’s County and Baltimore, Maryland. In the wise words of Frederick Douglass, “I am a Marylander, and love Maryland and her people.”
